Dan Roe of the American Lawyer reports on the status of legal hiring:
"The legal profession added another 4,700 jobs in October, according to Friday’s Bureau of Labor Statistics Employment Situation summary.
Another consistent month of legal hiring mirrors nonstop hiring activity in Big Law and in-house legal departments, which are respectively promoting record-breaking partner classes and poaching top-notch Big Law attorneys.
The 0.4% increase in legal jobs equals a total head count of 1,152,600 positions, just 12,700 jobs shy of the April 2020 record employment figure of 1,165,300 jobs."
