Steptoe & Johnson has significantly expanded their Texas presence, they announced earlier this month. The new offices are in Dallas, San Antonio, and Collin County, and are the firm's 16th, 17th, and 18th offices nationwide. Combined with the already existing Woodlands office, this gives Steptoe four Texas locations. Compass Law Group was pleased to work with Christopher L. Slaughter, CEO, on this project.
“This is the single largest geographic expansion in the firm’s 108-year history. These locations represent a strategic investment for the firm to better serve our existing clients in Texas and widen our scope of services to new clients,” said Slaughter in the firm's announcement online. “Our new lawyers bring substantial experience and knowledge to the firm’s practices. They are valued additions to the Steptoe & Johnson team.”
MacKenzie Alexander of Compass Law Group helped coordinate the openings from the recruiting side, along with Jesse McDonald. "When you are talking about three offices at once, there are a lot of details to juggle," Alexander said, "but the experience working with Chris and the team could not have been better. We were able to put together a great team of attorneys and Steptoe was able to make a splash in the Texas legal market."
Rusty Branch is the Managing Partner of Compass Law Group. "We very much enjoy working with Steptoe & Johnson," said Branch, "and we are excited for the future."
With over two decades worth of experience in Texas, Compass Law Group has a pulse on the legal market in the Lone Star State. If your firm is interested in exploring opening an office in Texas, we would love to talk.
